Robert J. Hess has prosecuted patent, trademark, and copyright applications domestically and coordinated obtaining patent and trademark protection internationally for over 30 years. Robert J. Robert has conducted patent studies concerning infringement, patent-ability, right-to-operate, trademark clearance and trade secret clearance. Representative technologies include the fields of energy production, telecommunications, ophthalmology, surgical implants, exercise and rehabilitation equipment, food preparation, sports equipment, timepieces, padlocks. He strategized patent, trademark and copyright disputes and has been instrumental in successfully resolving many in a cost efficient manner to the benefit of clients.
Prior to entering the field of patent law, Robert J. Hess worked as a mechanical engineer. The projects he helped engineer included nuclear power generation facilities, coal power generation facilities, co-generation facilities, and college boiler rooms and ventilation systems. He helped engineer systems affecting energy conservation improvements, heating, ventilating and air conditioning, plumbing, and mechanical piping support loads, and provided various engineering directives at construction sites of power generation facilities.
